Mid Graphics Designer/Visualization Specialist (Level 3) ​
CAPE requires one visualization specialist to design graphical content for the consumption of senior Agency leadership to support the Oversight and Engagement division. This division ensures CAPE’s organizational and operational effectiveness through planning, logistics, human resources, strategic communications and engagement support.  The visualization specialist communicates and negotiates with CAPE divisions and other subject matter experts to create accurate and compelling visual content; and develops graphics and multimedia products for diverse audiences including Agency senior leadership and decision makers across the agency.
 
Required Skills:
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required
  • Certificate and/or bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience within field. 
  • Minimum 7 years experience.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of the full functionality of graphic design software like Adobe
  • Master Collection CS5, and the designing of products for printing on digital press and web.
  • Experience in developing and implementing creative visual and strategic solutions from scientific presentations to websites to online productivity tools.


Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrate basic theories and principles of graphic design, data visualization, statistics, color theory, layout, typography, and creative thinking.
  • Expertise on graphic quality and publication at the Agency using established guidelines.
  • Work independently and have strong communication skills to interact with other employees on graphic and multimedia procedures.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage workflow of projects and the coordination with other technical disciplines to meet customer deadlines.
  • Experience with human centered design and storytelling/journey mapping.
  • Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite.
